A coastal city of over 130,000 residents located in Broward County, Hollywood is nestled between Fort Lauderdale and Miami. It is a classic Florida beach town that has enchanted visitors since the 1920’s. Founded in 1925, this sleepy destination arose in popularity over the years as an unspoiled area for vacationers to get a feel of true South Florida without all of the hassles of the larger nearby cities of Miami and Fort Lauderdale. The historic downtown is characterized by quaint sidewalk cafes, brick-lined walkways and six blocks of unique boutiques, shops, art galleries and fine dining and entertainment. Hollywood’s oceanfront Broadwalk offers miles of pedestrian friendly walking with its own cycle path that parallels the palm-fringed beach lined by beach shops and cafes. The Hollywood Broadwalk was named one of America’s top ten nostalgic promenades by USA Today and Travel and Leisure magazine. There are a number of wonderful communities including Emerald Hills, Harbor Island and Hollywood Lakes which feature large single family homes many with wonderful water views.
